STYLE THE BUMP: Black for all occasions with Annabella Maternity

Welcome to our second trimester and my 1st post in the Just a Mamma “Style the Bump” series. The concept isn’t anything new, I follow hundreds of gorgeous expecting mamas and talented maternity wear designers helping me through those “I have nothing to wear” days.
This series will be a glimpse at my BUMP STYLE with handy tips and stylish pieces I’ve come across. I’ve tried keeping things local and affordable but with a little spoil here and there, I am GROWING A HUMAN after-all.
February has been busy! With Valentine’s Day dates, Eliana’s 5th birthday celebrations as well as the usual run around. The bump has also popped and I’ve embraced my new curves with the help of Annabella Maternity. Both looks featured are from their range.
Look 1: The perfect day date LBD
Sexy, feminine and just perfect for couple’s time. Mr. Perfect absolutely loves the feel of this dress and I can not get enough of the cut. The Taya dress is extremely flattering emphasising your bump while softening any unwanted bulges. Stylish, effortless and easy to dress up or down.
This time around I opted for a casual feel keeping my accessories dainty and fresh with a Dear Rae Delicious Monster bracelet and a pendant by Pernickety Jewellery.
Throw on a pair of Blu Betty Brogues and I’m good to go! The perfect #OOTD for our anniversary picnic.
Look 2: Keeping the mom-run stylish
The Summer Tank Top is a staple for all mommies-in-the-making. So soft, so comfortable and stretchy. I’ll be wearing it all the way to week 40.
I paired it with an over the bump Anna Maxi Skirt creating a dress (something we less than super-model tall ones struggle to find) but both of these can easily be used separately with other pieces as well. Think casual, with a jean or shorts. The skirt will also be great to wear during autumn paired with the right boots.
My favourite part about it is that it goes over your bump so it doesn’t keep sliding off and you don’t have to compromise baby’s blood-supply in an attempt to stay clothed.
Sneakers to finish it all off and you’re on your way. Ready for whatever the day (and kids) may bring…

Oh no!!!! The Yummy Mummy Extra Length Leggings are heavenly to wear!! To date, they are the ONLY maternity pants I have purchased as I cannot find anything else that is nearly as comfortable, effortless to wear and which not only compliments my figure but in fact fits it perfectly!!! Most incredible leggings I have ever owned, even compared to my pre pregnancy pairs!!
WOW Samantha! Thanks for sharing. I adore Yummy Mummy too.
My favourite is the casual comfort pants. We are expecting our first and I am 35 so to me comfort is most important right now. Apart from comfort this also looks “smart” enough to go with anything for any occasion. Thank you for some inspiration as to what to wear while preggers…
It’s such a pleasure Antoinette. I couldn’t agree more… Comfort is key! And congrats on that 1st little blessing. x
My favourite item is the Angelina Wrap Dress. I have my eye on it for a wedding in July! My baby should be about 6 weeks by then, so I need to look stylish but still be able breastfeed easily.
I love a mama that can plan ahead, even while still pregnant. The Angelina Wrap dress would be perfect! Good luck.
If I HAVE to choose, I love the grey short sleeve maternity tank top!! Fitting into anything is a real challenge when you have a growing belly, and wouldn’t mind to be stylish but comfortable 🙂
It’s such a great tank Charlene. It just keeps growing with baby. xxx
Love the Soft Summer Tunic
My favorite is the breastfeeding-cami-with-lace. So useful yet stylish.
