The Best Proudly South African Mommy and Me Fashion brands

Are you into the matchy-matchy “Mama and mini” trend? I never thought I would be but seeing how excited our girls get when we all dress alike has me convinced… Why not have some fun while the kids still think “we’re cool”? And with so many local labels getting onboard I thought I’d share our BEST proudly South African Mommy and Me Fashion brands.
TOP South African Mommy and Me Fashion
Matching Me
Designed and founded by Tanja Robinson, a fellow girlmom with 3 sisters of her own. Matching Me is inspired by Tanja’s own childhood memories of her mama dressing them alike. So much love and effort was put into handmade outfits and after Tanja became a mom herself, she knew she wanted to share these memories with the world.

Think beautiful, timeless pieces made from top quality linens. Flowing, feminine dresses sure to make every little girl and her mama feel like the bell of the ball.
Matching Me’s online store launches TODAY! So be sure to go have a look at www.matchingme.co.za. Also follow them on Instagram and Facebook.
Annapatat Kids
It’s no secret, WE LOVE Annapatat Kids! And in over 7 years, Anneke has never seized to amaze and impress us with her whimsical designs. So, when she decided to design, print and make her very own range of botanical leggings for mothers and daughters; we knew we all needed a pair.

Made from cotton lycra – these leggings are just so soft! I could live in them forever. The colours and florals that make up the design is also simply beautiful and we hope Annapatat will be adding more “Mommy and Me” items to their range soon.
Shop these leggings (and more) online at www.shopannapatatkids.co.za. Follow Annapatat Kids on Instagram and Facebook too.
ilan
Going to a special event? Maybe you have a family photo session planned? High tea somewhere fabulous? ilan is the label to shop!

Known for their breathtaking occasional woman’s wear, ilan also launched a little girl’s (2-7 years) collection earlier this year. Garments are made to match mommy but still taking into consideration the body type of a woman vs. a little girl.

These outfits are stunning and sure to make a memorable statement.
The entire collection is available online at www.ilanclothing.com. Also give them some love on Instagram and Facebook.

Love matchy mommy and me stuff! Those dresses from Matching Me are too pretty, I went straight to the website and now I’m sad because the girls sizes stop at 5-6. ?
Ooh no, What size do you need mama? The cut is quite big. Eliana is 7 and fit into the 5-6 (which she never does) but as you see it is short.
