MISS TEES: Slogan T-shirts for Moms

by | May 22, 2019 | Fashion for Moms, What we wear | 28 comments

Today we take a moment to celebrate the women behind Miss Tees – slogan T-shirts for Moms. Miss tees is a brand new, local T-shirt company that launched earlier this year. But these aren’t just any old tees… Made from the softest, quality cotton, printed and embroidered with mama’s words full of affection and tenderness, intended to inspire, motivate and celebrate moms.

Mums really are the greatest
They are the power and the pillar of every family.
One minute running a company, the next, wiping a runny nose, mums always bring their A game.

From the little everyday questions, to the answers to life’s biggest problems, you can be sure that mum really does know best.

Carole and Amber are the mama duo building an empire, one t-shirt at a time.

Why did you ladies start Miss Tees?

We spent a lot time together during our pregnancies. We chatted about creating something together after the births of our babies… Amber and I have a great synergy and we knew we would be a great match in whatever we did.

Your favourite piece from the collection? Why?

Amber loves big, bold designs and the “Family First” tees lies particularly close to her heart especially with their second little one on the way.

Carole has been an entrepreneur since the the age of 17 and becoming a mum, her biggest wish… The “mumtrepreneur” tee describes her best!

What has been your biggest struggle as “mombosses” and how have you overcome this?

The most challenging has been scheduling between 2 mamas, especially when one is pregnant. We are figuring it out and trying to make due as we go. Considering each other and our families.

“As moms we don’t celebrate ourselves or other mamas enough.” Would you agree? How do you “celebrate yourself” and other moms?

Not really to be honest. We are French and live far away from our own families so, we support each others quite a lot! Plus we prefer to celebrate our motherhood as a team rather than alone.

Being an entrepreneurs and feeling proud of myself every day is another way we like to celebrate myself.

What would be the perfect Mother’s day gift for yourself this year?

Carole –  One day without the parental mental workload. And on the realistic side a local designer neckless that I spotted but can’t reveal the brand because we are planning to collab with her. Stay tuned…
Amber : A spa day with friends and “non” virgin mojitos!

The business isn’t massive (yet) and offers a small collection of which the “Call me Mama” tee is my favourite and we are giving away one to YOU and a FRIEND!

Nothing beats seeing life through my girls eyes, i love being their mother because they have given me so much joy at a very painful time in my life and each day I wake up wanting to be better, for them as a mom and as a person in general. They are the pieces of my heart that stays glowing.

Becoming a mom has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done! Nothing prepares you for the challenge of it all. There are days when I want to run away and there are days where I rush home as quickly as I can from a trip to Spar. I am finally at a point where I’m enjoying being a mother and watching my son’s personality develop and his sense of humour start to show – it’s so worth the daily battle.

How can I say what I love about being a mom, when ever part of it is so wonderful, the bad days and the good days. The screaming the tears the hugs and the kisses make it all worth it. When my 2.5 year old has one of her bad days and is full of attitude and tantrums the best part is the loves and cuddles that follow. I love being able to say I carried these little humans inside of me and only they know how my heart sounds from inside. Looking into their eyes and knowing I am the most important thing in that tiny humans life ♡.

I love being a mother because I get to experience on a daily basis my kid growing. I have a son with autism and nothing comes easy to him. So we marvel at how people take so much for granted, like learning shapes or using a spoon. I get joy every day from what they both accomplish.

There is nothing more beautiful and amazing then being a mother. Being the centre if your children’s universe, every happy moment, every sad moment they share with you. That look into your eye as if your the only important person in the whole world. My daughter jumps for joy every time I come from work and it just makes my whole day. I love my kids so much.

I’ve been a mama just a little over 20 months. And it’s the hardest thing I have ever done. It is also the most rewarding and powerful thing I have done. Knowing that my little one is going to grow into a powerful woman one day has given me a new sense of purpose. I couldn’t love her more. She is strong and brave and the best thing that has happened to me. And yes the tantrums can be rough, but the hugs afterwards and the”lufff oooo” make it all worth it.
