Why you need to start planning for Cyber Monday, NOW!

I don’t do well in big crowds, busy shopping centers, or when needing to fight for that last marked-down item in-store. In fact, everything about BLACK FRIDAY makes me anxious, that’s why Cyber Monday is more “our thing”. I can plan ahead, shop in my PJs and I don’t get distracted by other deals – which in turn helps me stick to the budget as well. It’s a win-win!

The key to a success however is… PLANNING.

That’s why I’m sharing my 5 (tried and tested) steps to ensuring a calm and productive Cyber Monday.

1. decide where to do your shopping.

My “first stop” is always SUPERBALIST. I love that I can save on delivery by finding gifts for the entire family in one spot. From gorgeous homeware to fun decor and accessories, clothes, stationery, his and hers beauty and bath products, and loads of other goodies too. The shopping categories and filters that can be applied such as “conscious shopping” and “locally made” even make it easy to support the brands we adore.

2. next, Make a list of the things you need to buy.

Before even going online, I sit down with a pen and paper to make a list of things we NEED to buy. This list includes:

  • Teacher’s gifts.
  • Gifts for family members and friends.
  • Things needed for Christmas or new years eve parties.
  • Summer holiday necessities such as Instax film, maybe new beach towels, sunscreen, etc.
  • Gifts for the kids. We follow the “something you want, something you need, something to read, and something to wear” gifting rule for our girls and always find great deals for “need” and “wear” gifts on Superbalist.
  • More expensive needs such as furniture or lighting or things needed for the home that may be on sale.
3. Set up an account and put together a wishlist.

If you don’t have a Superbalist account already, take some time ahead of Cyber Monday to register and log in. Go through the different sections for men, women, kids, sport, beauty, home + living, and even search for specific brands. Search for the items that you know you need from the list you’ve made and add them to your wishlist.

Having a wishlist helps me stay within budget too. I can easily see where I overspend and if need be I have enough time to make adjustments.

4. Now we wait

Superbalist will keep our wishlist safe and sound and waiting for us till we’re ready to shop. We can also update our list as often as we like, adding or taking away items and they’ll even notify you if something is back in stock or running low. The trick is to be patient.

5. time to Get the credit cards ready and stick to the plan!

On Cyber Monday I simply log in, go to my wishlist, see which offers are available, add them to my cart, and checkout! I don’t waste any time browsing because I already know what I need. The discounts available help me save so I usually get to add something extra for myself or Mr. Perfect too. It’s quick, easy, and pain-free.

The Superbalist Cyber Monday sale will be on 28 November and promises some incredible discounts on the hottest brands & products – including fashion, shoes, accessories, beauty, sport & homeware.
