Being a working mama of three and wife to my entrepreneurial husband extraordinaire – things tend to get a little busy at home! Keeping track of school events, extramural activities, various appointments, birthdays, parties, meetings and more isn’t always easy and that’s why I joined forces with the talented Marike from Paper Planery to design our Just a Mamma family planner.
This planner has helped me get a handle on our entire household’s schedule with a view of the entire month ahead. Now our home is much calmer, more organised and best of all no more arguments with Mr. Perfect about him not telling me about a late-night meeting or forgetting Lia’s ballet viewing days.
For the past 5 years, I’ve been selling the planners…
But I have decided it’s time to offer them for FREE to all the amazing mamas that form part of the Just a Mamma community! No more ordering and waiting. Now you can simply download and print at once! At home or at your local print shop – whatever the budget lends itself to.
How to get your FREE Family Planner:
- Download the PDF planner, PDF stickers (both sticker files in the colour of your choice) and printing instructions onto a USB drive.
- Go to your local print shop (Examples: Jetline, Minit Print, Minuteman Press, Wet Ink)
- Hand in your printing with the instruction page.
And that’s it! You should have your family planner in hand within minutes!
The planner can be printed at home but it was designed and laid out on an A3.
Printing it in any size other than that will affect the fit of the stickers making them slightly smaller if you print your planner on anything larger than an A3 and too big for anything smaller than A3.
The stickers can however easily be left-out. Simply write-in all the months and holidays by hand.

Now for the stickers:
You will see two files for sticker printing for each colour below. Download both in the colour of your choice and take these along to your printer. Ask them which file they prefer.
- Stickers_(colour)_with bleed.pdf: This file is if your printer requires your design to have bleed and is able to cut them for you.
- Stickers_(colour)_A3 sheet.pdf: This file is if your printer only prints on A3 sticker sheets which you can cut out yourself. (This is much cheaper and quicker.)

One last thing to remember…
Ask your printer to:
- Print 12 monthly pages – one for each month of the year.
- Ring bind the pages of the planner together and add a thick piece of cardboard to the back of your planner.
- Ask if it’s possible to add a wall hook to your planner for easy hanging at home.
If the printers aren’t able to assist with this, simply make your own.
Repurpose a wall hook from an old calendar, use a key ring, piece of twine or make a simple hook using wire and long nose pliers.
