Toy Review: Ava’s thoughts on the Fisher Price Instant Camera

by | Aug 9, 2020 | Product Reviews | 0 comments

Ava couldn’t have been more excited when this Fisher Price Instant Camera arrived. I’m constantly hiding my own camera and phone from our budding future photographer – a passion Ava shares with her sister Lia too.

More about the Fisher Price Instant Camera

This colourful and cute pretend camera comes with a light ‘flash,’ realistic camera sounds, and loads of buttons and nobs for little fingers to explore. Best Educational Toys For Toddlers Just A Mamma Blog 9240

The 25 songs, sounds and phrases made when pressing these buttons won’t just make you smile but actually teaches children to follow easy instructions and introduces early counting skills and the alphabet.

What we love most about the Fisher Price Instant Camera

I’m a huge advocate of learning through play. That being said, kids don’t need loads of toys simply gathering dust. Fisher Price knows this and focusses on making toys that can do more.

Ava loves how easy it is to hold and use her camera. She goes all over our home asking us to strike a pose or capturing a closeup of the flowers outside her window. The songs have her dancing with delight and her giggles of excitement make my heart happy too.

As she has fun, she learns – without even knowing.

What could be better?

The camera itself can’t be better, except if it was available in more language options. Ava would also appreciate a camera strap. Understandably this could be a safety hazard, especially for younger babies and toddlers but a detachable strap with an easy release feature could maybe be an option.

Safety

  • Suitable for little ones ages 6-36 months.
  • This toy is not for water play and should only be wiped clean using a damp cloth.
  • When the sounds or lights become faint or stop an adult should change the batteries. The camera uses 2 AAA batteries – rechargeable batteries can be used.
