Last week I showed a quick snippet of my take on the Yummy Mummy Maternity BodyWear MultiBuy Collection. Styling 4 different pieces into 10 fab looks. Over the next 3 weeks I’ll be giving you a closer look at how those looks were achieved, kicking off with the 1st 3, using the Yummy Mummy Maternity Ruche Top / Dress.
Look 1: Ice cream date with the kids (minus the kids when pregnancy craving becomes too much to keep at bay till they are home).
Winter’s coming so we are trying to soak up as much last minute summer fun as possible and what better way than putting on an easy, breezy dress, adding some denim touches (which is always a summer favourite) and visiting your favourite little gourmet Ice Cream bar!
Me, being only 1.65m tall, the Yummy Mummy Maternity Ruche Top / Dress works perfectly as a dress. The ruching effect down the sides creates a slimming effect and the super elastic fabric stretches and hugs your preggy curves in all the right places. Added summer bonus: the Ruche Top / Dress is made from special performance fabric with knitted in UV protection. Not just styling the bump but also protecting it!
Lace up denim wedges from Woolworths.
Simple studded earrings, another Woolworths steal.
Look 2: Day or Night Date with Mr. Perfect.
I know black is usually a “date night” colour but why not mix things up with a little white? The Yummy Mummy Maternity Ruche Top / Dress is husband approved! Mr. Perfect loves the feel of the fabric and can’t keep his hands off me when I put it on… Not just in a touchy-feely way. It’s the texture of the fabric… so smooth and soft even I can’t keep from constantly stroking my belly.
“Fancy-up” your look by adding an extra length, sleeve-less knitted cardigan (or whatever it’s called) or even just a jacket.
Another pair of cute Woolworths shoes, I love the open toe boot look, especially during the changing of seasons.
Pretty chain earrings also from Woolworths.
Look 3: Lunch or coffee date with your gal pals (even a little casual meeting).
Break-up the white by adding a pop of colour!
A pretty blouse or fun crop top gives the smart and classic look and feel of a high waisted pencil skirt making you an on trend mama without having to even try hard. My blouse is from the incredible Jane Sews summer collection. The extra detail at the back makes this look my favourite! Also, I feel happy anytime I can add a hat to an outfit.
White leather sneakers by Country Road.
Hat from Cotton On.
Tassle earrings, you know it’s Woolworths.
That’s it for this week.
