Fashion for littles Things we love

Oliver & Bean turns 1 and we have some fun!

June 30, 2017

A couple of months ago I met Taryn at the Oh My Baby opening in Brooklyn Mall. We spoke briefly but it was after this chance encounter we decided to collab on a little something fun…

After the birth of her 2nd son, Jack Jude last year Oliver & Bean came to be and now 1 year later we celebrate their 1st birthday with them, Tropicana tea party in Wonderland style! With an aim to “WOW” little people (and their parents) season after season, garment after garment even, Oliver & Bean creates classic pieces with a trendy edge. Every design is inspired by the specific print or texture of the fabric chosen and tells a quirky story.

Oliver & Bean grows from the constant feedback received via customers and other brands. Always trying to improve by accepting faults & failures and improving on criticism – not an easy task seeing as this is like Taryn’s 3rd child…

“Starting her own thing was a tough decision and at times working into the early morning hours hasn’t paid off but then it’s the compliments and love I get from the people that support Oliver & Bean; a simple message or post expressing how wonderful an item is, this really does make my job worthwhile. I treasure the support structure I have at home and this makes what I do the best job in the world!”

After just 1 year Oliver & Bean already boasts with an entire boy’s and girl’s range as well as a small Mommy-and-Me range AND as of July they launch maternity wear too.

With dreams of growing their social media following, expanding into more stores, owning and running their own small factory and starting a blog… Oliver & Beanis going BIG and we can’t wait to see what the future brings.

Happy Birthday Oliver & Bean! May year 2 be even more colourful, fun and utterly mad!

More on the outfits:

Eliana looked amazing in a white lace onesie and pink ombre faux fur gilet, while Lia rocked her nude pink onesie and pom-pom trimmed bloomer. Little Jack was cute in a sky blue ombre romper and long sleeve tee.

More on the party:

All styling and party prettiness provided by Fees, the new kids on the party scene. Look these gals up on their Fees Facebook page for incredible party decor and ideas. They can do it all but with an original and fresh twist. I will be featuring even more of their gorgeous events soon.

As always Mmm Macarons provided the delicious and beautifully made gourmet treats. If you haven’t eaten something Charlene has baked… Add it to your bucket list or next party – food porn and taste perfection.

Tables and bunny chairs, originals from Dovetail Furniture & Decor. I’ve used these before and still love them. Sturdy, comfortable and pretty!
