Welcome trimester 3! And welcome winter… With the weather getting cold and my belly expanding to maximum capacity, hibernation tendencies have started setting in… Morning sleep-ins, early evening cuddles and all day pyjama days is what it’s all about and with so many gorgeous maternity loungewear options available; I’m doing it in style!
One of my favourite go-to labels, not just for maternity but any pyjamas… BENA keeps things simple, clean and classic yet stylish and ahead of the trends.
The Long Sleeve Babydoll Maternity Pyjama Set is all about elegance and comfort. Made from 100% cotton, cut to flatter both in and out of the bedroom. The shirt is slightly tailored to accentuate a “glowing figure” but with enough room to grow as your belly expands. I like buttoning it up all the way and feeling fancy and “Carrie Bradshaw-ish” (if she had ever been pregnant) and being button up also means it’s great for breastfeeding.
The waistband on the trousers is a draw-string in the front and an elasticated in the back making it easy to expand and retract during and after pregnancy. Best news: this set, as well as it’s summer sister version is currently on SALE! so get yours now, I’m definitely taking mine to hospital with me.
The Nightshirt isn’t part of their maternity range but so gorgeous and it makes me feel SEXY! Flattering to any and all woman. The contrasting trim and buttons in white and navy fits in perfectly with all the blues seen this season. I also think it’s great for recovering after a c-section – for those days when you just don’t feel like wearing pants. Once again it’s a button-up = easy nursing. Made from 100% Rayon, a natural-based fibre which is breathable and ideal across all seasons.
Add the Long Maternity Kimono Inspired Gown. I’m not always one to match but this time I had to… and it’s winter… we all know layering is essential. Another piece straight into the hospital bag. I know I’ll be living in this come July!
My number one pregnancy spoil! I’ve wanted these pj’s for YEARS. The Annabella Maternity Winter Vintage Pyjama set. Pretty and practical and black with lace!!! This gorgeous winter maternity and breastfeeding pyjama set is everything.
The viscose / spandex blend fabric makes it soft and super stretchy, giving you an all over body hug. The pyjama pant with comfort waist band, can be worn up over the bump or folded down for extra support.
The long sleeve top allows for easy and discreet breastfeeding with one-handed breastfeeding clasps and a sewn-in bust shelf bra which offers light support for that ever changing bust size we breast-feeding mamas have to deal with. It will also help keep nursing pads in place.
And then, just because we are woman and deserve pretty pyjamas, Annabella Maternity decided to trim it all in lace! Beautiful soft touches of cream lace at the ends of your sleeves and bottom of your pants and all around the collar – because being (and becoming) a Mama is beautiful!
Another stunning loungewear brand specialising in any and all sleepwear from woman to men to kids to bridal and maternity. Anna-Louise Sleepwear makes your bed a runway filled with the newest, limited edition, designer pj’s.
This Anna-Louise Maternity Long Set is so pretty and feminine and I adore the colour and the white piping. Also made from 100% rayon fabric, it is as soft and breathable as cotton but drapes luxuriously over my body like silk.
The shirt is tailored with soft pleats making it comfortable during pregnancy and flattering afterwards. The pyjama trouser has an elastic waistband. Easy, big to small during and post baby bump.
Another button-up, and although some find buttons difficult when breast-feeding these are easy to work.
I’ll be wearing these all winter but feeling all summer-time-happy and when the warmer weather comes… this set is also available in a short version. YAY!
